Jim Curran, long-time Lansing lobbyist at Karoub and Associates, recently took a step back from the halls of the Capitol and rolled the dice. Having worked with a group to redevelop the site of old Tiger Stadium in Detroit, Jim did what lobbyists sometimes do. He pitched a wild idea.
Five years later, that idea is now Great Lakes Reality Labs. It’s the largest such venture outside of Hollywood and Manhattan, it’s educating and training people of all ages, and its expansion is on track to transform the old Sears store in Lansing’s Frandor shopping center.
