Joan Crawford, Roger Bannister, Moses Malone, Chaka Khan, and Resch Strategies...

We all got our starts on March 23rd, and history has forever been changed.

It was eight years ago today that I started Resch Strategies.  What began as work on my own, done out of a second bedroom at home, is now a well-established and growing public affairs and public relations firm.

As 2017 begins, we’ve grown into a team of five, adding an account manager, Joe Becsey, and a social media coordinator, Sarah Ombry, last year.  We’ve established lasting strategic partnerships with the most talented graphic design, video production, media-buying, online marketing and opinion research firms around.  Last February, we introduced a new project, an “insiders poll” called The Pundit Poll.  And we’ve launched and built a company blog of which I’m very proud with industry information, PR advice, personal insights and general high jinks.

We also recently moved into new and larger office space in the completely renovated, Lansing-chic “old Michigan Dental Association” building on the southeast corner of Washington and Ionia.

Over time, our client list has steadily and strategically grown, and one of the things of which I am most proud is the diversity of the projects we’ve been asked to take on.  We are doing good work -- not only for interests around the State Capitol, but also for business and non-profit organizations in Lansing and beyond.  We’ve stretched our relationships beyond partisan boundaries and that has enhanced our experience, strengthened our firm and benefited our clients.

I’m posting today on our birthday to say hello and to say that if you ever have the need for public relations or public affairs support you’ll consider Resch Strategies.

Eight years in, I know our growth has come from our low-drama, high-expectations approach and through the support and partnership of good friends and colleagues.  Thank you for that!   Take care and talk to you soon.
