What is Leadership Lansing?
The Lansing Regional Chamber of Commerce established Leadership Lansing in 2015 as a new leadership initiative aimed at helping the Greater Lansing region identify and develop the next generation of community leaders.
Leadership Lansing is an eight-month program, beginning in October and concluding with graduation in May, in which participants engage in seven workshops, including an overnight retreat at which they are exposed to key institutions, industry sectors and business leaders that are the fabric of the Greater Lansing region. Workshop themes are centered on levels of leadership influence, education, healthcare, home-grown entrepreneurship, engagement and quality of life in the region, and creating a vision for the future.
What is the Resch Strategies Leadership Lansing Scholarship?
For the most part, Leadership Lansing participation is focused on attracting individuals from the region’s important for-profit sector. The Resch Strategies Leadership Lansing Scholarship exists to open this training opportunity to leaders from our non-profit community.
Having worked with many non-profit organizations, we understand that resources are tight and extra money for new programing is never just lying around. With this scholarship, we hope to provide the resources needed for non-profit leaders in Lansing to take advantage of this valuable educational opportunity.
How does the Scholarship work?
Applying for or nominating someone to receive the Resch Strategies Leadership Lansing Scholarship is easy. By Aug. 20, 2019, fill out and submit the application/nomination form or download a paper application — Word document or PDF — and send to info@reschstrategies.com. Please include your phone number, as we will likely follow up to talk more.
We will select one scholarship winner from the applications/nominations submitted to represent Lansing’s non-profit community, and with enrollment and acceptance into the Leadership Lansing program we will underwrite the winner’s full tuition ($2,200) for the program.
Decisions and notifications will be made and announced by Sept. 1, 2019, with the program beginning in October.
